PUPPY CLASS

Thursdays 7:00 - 7:45pm

The course runs for 8 weeks and is £35.00

Our aim is to teach you and your puppy skills that help your dog become a better member of the family. We also teach them a few tricks just for fun.

In this class you will learn:

Walking to heal in a controlled manner, response to name, sit, down, leave it, recall, wait & door gate manners. We also have some fun with the tunnel and have scent games that result in the dogs finding hidden treats.

Socialisation is one of the most important parts of raising a balanced and happy dog. Your puppy will be socialised in a safe and non aggressive way with the other dogs and people.

We believe that dogs respond best to reward based training, so all methods are kind and fair using food, toys, play and praise.

Handling, grooming & inspection tips are also included in the class. The instructors are friendly and will also be able to answer any additional questions you may have.

INTERMEDIATE TO ADVANCED COURSE

To do this course you need to join our club as a member. The yearly membership fee is £12.50 per person or £14.50 for a joint membership.

This course operates on a drop in basis & costs £2.50 per class.

This course is for owners and their dogs who have finished the puppy class and wish to continue training their dogs further.

The exercises learned in the puppy classes are continued here. In this class the dogs become more controlled and will sit and wait in position for a longer time (Up to three to four minute if they are really good). Off lead heelwork is also included.

There is the addition of agility & retrieval activities that the dogs absolutely love.

TOP CLASS - OBEDIENCE CLASS

To do this course you need to join our club as a member. The yearly membership fee is £12.50 per person or £14.50 for a joint membership.

This course operates on a drop in basis & costs £2.50 per class.

This class will get you ready for competitive shows like the Companion Dog shows or some of the Obedience Shows run by The Kennel Club.

In addition to the activities previously mentioned in the above classes, your dog will have to perform a scent discrimination exercise and also a send away and distant control exercise.
